Welcome to Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp - Girls Session

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp, formerly in Oracle, Arizona and now located in Southern Florida, is for sons of shluchim ages 7-14. The camp takes place for 10 days corresponding to most schools' mid-winter vacation. Experienced, Chasidishe head staff and counselors will direct the camp.

Campsite amenities include state of the art camp grounds, air-conditioned buildings, a game room, huge heated swimming pool, lake with canoes, 7-acre paintball field, boardwalk and nature trails, basketball and beach volleyball courts, two challenge towers, high-low ropes courses, climbing tower, and a children's playground.  The campsite is located 45 minutes from Fort Lauderdale International airport on the Gold Coast Campsite, in Lake Worth, Florida.

  2. If you have an account from last year’s Kinus (girls or boys) or Winter Camp, it will merge your account as long as it's the same email address. (This will be helpful if you have child info saved)

Full Tuition: $950

Special Shluchim Price: $595
This subsidized charge helps defray part of the cost of camp. We recommend you register as early as possible.

Shluchim Online School Special: $525

Each year, there will be special class reunions for students of the Nigri International Shluchim Online School. Winter camp is a unique opportunity for Online School students to join their fellow classmates in person and to enjoy 10 days of friendship and fun together.

Campers being dropped off should arrive after 10:00 AM, with the most ideal time being from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.

 

Pickup - Departure from camp: 15 Teves / Dec. 27

Campers should be picked up after the banquet on Wednesday, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM

We are pleased to be able to offer steeply discounted airport pickup and dropoff fees if the transportation form is submitted before Monday, 28 Kislev / Dec 11th at 8:00 PM EST.

 

Arrival to camp: 6 Teves / Dec. 18

 

Arrival is in FLL (Fort Lauderdale International) Airport between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

 

FLL (Fort Lauderdale International) Airport is more convenient, please make every effort to book there. If PBI (Palm Beach International) airport is significantly more advantageous, you can book there as well. 

 

We do not provide transportation to / from Miami International Airport.

 

If you have limited options with flights, please let us know by emailing us. We will try our best to accommodate.

 

If there is any information we need to know about your child’s trip, please include in the comments in the travel form or email us.


 

Unaccompanied Minor:

If your child is flying as an unaccompanied minor, we will provide the name of the staff member picking her up from the airport approx 24 hours before your child’s flight. 

 

Important: We strongly advise reserving the unaccompanied minor service early, you can provide them any name for meanwhile. Later, when we send the info of who is picking her up, you can update it with the airline. Be sure to do this by check-in at the latest so they can release the child upon arrival.

Please book return flights in between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.


FLL (Fort Lauderdale International) Airport

Please make sure that all information for your child’s return flight is submitted in the form. 

 

We will provide any info needed before your daughter’s return flight.

 

If you would like your daughter to have a phone for travel, please ensure it is not a smartphone, and does not have Internet capabilities. This phone should be given to a head counselor upon arrival in camp to hold.

Packing List

SEVERAL IMPORTANT NOTES:

All clothing should be clearly marked with first and last name. All clothing should be fully tznius, as befitting a Bas Chabad & Shlucha.

There are no laundry facilities available on the campsite.  Please send along enough clothing for 10 days.

Average temperatures in Florida in the wintertime range from 55-75 degrees.  Please ensure that you send a warm sleeping bag or blanket.
 

Items that your child(ren) should bring:

Do not bring:

Do not bring the following items: Music or books that aren’t על טהרת הקודש, smartphones or internet-enabled devices, bicycles, firecrackers, knives, skates, roller blades, skateboards, water guns / balloons, as well as valuable items you don’t want to risk getting lost or damaged.

 

If your child is traveling with important documents (passport, birth certificate or similar) please make sure she hands these in to the camp office for safe keeping.
 

Important

The Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp puts a strong emphasis on having your children enjoy the 10 days of camp in a wholesome environment b’gashmiyus and b’ruchniyus

 

In order to ensure this, smartphones or any internet-enabled (or ‘smart’) devices such as iPads, gaming devices, smartwatches, etc. are not allowed in camp. These are a distraction, and can be a safety hazard. 

 

Music or books that aren’t על טהרת הקודש, are not permitted, please do not send these items with your daughter.

 

Additionally, bicycles, firecrackers, knives, skates, roller blades, skateboards, water guns / balloons are not permitted in camp. 

 

If you would like your daughter to have a phone for travel, please ensure it is not a smartphone, and does not have internet capabilities. This phone should be given to a head counselor upon arrival in camp to hold.

 

We recommend that your child not bring valuable items (iPods, digital cameras or similar) as we cannot take any responsibility for missing items. If your child is traveling with important documents (passport, birth certificate or similar) please make sure she hands these in to the camp office for safe keeping.


Due to numerous food allergies, please do not send any peanut-related foods or snacks with your child.
