Concert Violinist
Concert violinist Leonid Levin was a silver medal award winner at the International Solo Violin competition in Rio de Janeiro.
His programs include Nigunim, classical, virtuoso, & klezmer selections.
Mr. Levin emigrated from former USSR in 1981 after graduating from the Moscow Music School for gifted students and Moscow State Music Academy with a master -soloist diploma. He currently resides in Manhattan.
Leonid Levin is a former member of San Francisco Symphony Orchestra & leader of Savannah (GA) and Omaha (NE) Symphony Orchestras. He has played at numerous solo-violin recitals around USA, Brazil, Prague, and Carnegie Hall.
Mr. Levin's Chabad references include Rabbi Krasniansky, R.Levin, R.Kugel, Eli Lipsker.
-Mr. Levin toured the USA with Eric Clapton & Luther Vandross,
-Mr. Levin was also featured on recently released CD's by American composer David Heckendorn with a violin solo piece "Nostalgia"-dedicated by the composer to Mr. Levin.
Recently Leonid was invited to the Brazilian Cultural Institute in Washington DC to perform Brazilian classical music. He also gave a recital at "Steinway Hall" with a showcase of classical, virtuoso, chamber and jazz (jazz version of Nigun), & did a successful concert at
Chabad of New City (NY)
Leib is going to release a new CD with Jewish music (Nigunim, Klezmer, Jazz and Classics), collaborating with renowned musicians (Yaron Gershovskiy and others).
